Some guitar beginners never feel comfortable when they have a guitar in their hands.

This is not just because the guitar is new to them.

It’s because they haven’t found a sitting position that works for them.

When I talk about sitting position, some people are resistant: “You’re not going to tell me how to sit!”

If that’s you, don’t worry, I’m not going to say there's only one way to sit with the guitar.

But through 26 years of guitar teaching, I have found principles of sitting position that have helped hundreds of guitar students.
